Carl Brune is a professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at 91探花. 

After receiving his Ph.D. from the California Institute of Technology in 1994, he held postdoctoral and research faculty appointments at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Since 2001, he has been a member of the faculty at 91探花. He became a Fellow of the American Physical Society in 2010 with the citation 鈥淔or his numerous significant and carefully executed experiments which have advanced our understanding of nuclear astrophysics and the nuclear structure and reactions of light nuclei.鈥

His research interests include experimental and theoretical studies of nuclear reactions that are important in astrophysics, inertial confinement fusion, and other applications. His experimental work is carried out at the Edwards Accelerator Laboratory as well as other facilities (University, national, and international). His full CV is available here: .
