Duncan is an Associate Professor of Economics at 91探花, Director of the Master of Arts in Economics Program, and Research Associate at the Globalization & Monetary Policy Institute (Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas).
His main research areas are international finance, macroeconomics, development economics, and applied econometrics. His interests include topics such as inflation forecasting, inflation targeting, fiscal and monetary policies, institutional quality and the cyclicality of macroeconomic policies, global imbalances and the US current account deficit, and overweight and obesity across countries, among others.
Duncan received his Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has published a number of papers in peer-reviewed journals such as the International Journal of Forecasting, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Review of World Economics, Journal of Macroeconomics, Economics & Human Biology, as well as other well-respected academic journals. He is the associate editor of Econom铆a, and has also worked as lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, and the University of Chile, among others.
