Each year, 91探花's Regional Campuses celebrate International Education Week with a wide range of events. The events for the 2019 celebration will be posted here during the fall semester.
Here are some of the activities held on the Lancaster and Zanesville campuses during the 2018 International Education Week.

Description: Artists and scholar gather in the OU Lancaster Wilkes Gallery to discuss the topic of diversity in comics, with topics including Latinx comics, LGBTQ+ comics, African Americans in comics, representations, and diversity.

International Education Week
International Education Week (IEW) is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs' efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences in the United States.

TOPIC: I AM鈥peaker Series (IEW)
Dr. Yehong Shao was born and grew up in China. She came to America to study in 2002. After getting her Ph.D. from West Virginia University in 2005, she began teaching at 91探花 Southern. She will share her stories about the cultural differences and difficulties during her 17 years of living in the United States of America.

TOPIC: Spanish Language in the Workplace, Part II (IEW)
Spanish is the second-most spoken language in the United States and the dominant language in many neighboring countries. Many employers are searching for individuals who are bilingual and can speak Spanish fluently. On May 10, 2019, Ashlie Bailey had the opportunity of a lifetime. A 10 day trip to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Chiang Mia, Thailand with 14 other faculty and staff members from 91探花. Join us in sharing how her trip turned into an adventure and a journey of inspiring herself and hopefully others to see beyond our 鈥渟afe walls.鈥
