At the Work That Matters Fair, students can expect to connect with employers from non-profit and service organizations that are recruiting for part-time, full-time and volunteer positions.

Erika Peyton, assistant director for employer relations and marketing for the CLDC, said students will also see a number of organizations from the Athens area for students hoping to get involved while they鈥檙e on campus.

"Our hope, as always, is to create events and services that meet the career interests and needs of as many students as possible," Peyton said. "This is a niche event that meets the needs of students with an interest in giving back."

There are 13 organizations, including TEACH FOR AMERICA, Nuhop, and City Year Inc. signed up to be represented at the fair, and more are anticipated to join within the next week.

The CLDC provides students with the resources they need to feel prepared for anything job related. It hosts events, such as job fairs and workshops, to help Bobcats discover their true potential and reach their goals. The CLDC also provides multiple resources, including career coaching, mock interviews, resume critiques and the Bobcat CareerLink.
