iCUE Spotlight: Jan. 22-28, 2018

Hey there Bobcats! It's hard to believe we're already in the second week of spring semester but the (CUE) is here to help you keep up. With an awesome photo contest, Science Cafe, Community Art-Making Workshop and much more, the CUE is filled with events that you won't want to miss. Read on for more info!

(ongoing through Feb. 2): The OHIO CUE (the University's OFFICIAL online calendar) wants to get to know YOU! OHIO students are invited to share a favorite photo from winter break or the return to campus for a chance to win Bobcat Cash or OHIO swag. It's easy to enter: just follow and use the hashtag #CUEpix when you post your pic - the photos with the most likes will win! The top three photos will receive $25 in Bobcat Cash, and up to seven additional winners will receive OHIO T-Shirts and/or water bottles. All OHIO students are free to enter - and students on the Athens Campus are eligible to win prizes. You may submit multiple photos but each photo should be included in a separate tweet (one photo per tweet). Read the fine print here and send any questions to calendar@ohio.edu!

(Wednesday, Jan. 24, 5-6 p.m., The Front Room Campus Coffeehouse, Baker University Center):  Don't miss the semester's first Science Caf茅 as Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences Viorel Popescu discusses "Challenges for Conserving Biodiversity in a Changing World." Dr. Popescu wiil share about the Conservation Ecology Lab's work studying human impacts on animal populations, from bobcats to frogs. This lecture is free and open to the public, attendees who ask a question can win a T-shirt AND the first 50 attendees receive free coffee! What's not to love?

 (Friday, Jan. 26, 3:30-5 p.m., Shirley Wimmer Dance Theatre, Putnam Hall): Whether or not you think you have rhythm, ALL are welcome to join David Dorfman, artistic director of the internationally-renowned, NYC-based David Dorfaman Dance (DDD) in his mission "to get the whole world dancing." A reception will immediately follow this event, which is free and opent to the public!
