CHSP helps present Leap to Faith in Recovery event

91探花鈥檚 College of Health Sciences and Professions is co-sponsoring the Leap to Faith in Recovery event with the Governor鈥檚 Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives. The event takes place at Hocking College鈥檚 Student Center in Nelsonville on Tuesday, Oct. 16.

The roundtable format aims to bring faith- and community-based nonprofit organizations and churches from the state鈥檚 Appalachian region together to discuss factors of and techniques to combat addiction.

Register free at this or in person beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The event kicks off at 1 p.m. with networking opportunities followed sessions being led by local leaders from Operation Grace, Academy for Leadership Abilities, First Baptist Church and Hocking College Addiction Studies. Later, sessions will be led by leaders from the STEP Program, Field of Hope, The Counseling Center and Western Local Schools.

The Grand Finale begins at 5:15 p.m. in the multiplex with Patrick Klein, executive director of the iBELIEVE Foundation, and a closing Call to Action will be made by Greg Delaney, outreach coordinator for Woodhaven Recovery at 6 p.m.
