iCUE Spotlight: July 19–July 26, 2019

 

Take a look at the upcoming events on the . Anyone with an active OHIO ID can  that are sponsored by any OHIO planning unit or registered student organization.

So be sure to add your OHIO events, programs and deadlines to the CUE to help keep all members of our University community in the loop! Here’s a look at a few upcoming events:

Saturday, July 20, 3-5 p.m. Athena Cinema, 20 S. Court St., Athens, OH 45701

A fundraiser for Southeast Ohio Youth Mentoring (formerly Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Athens), the price of admission to these screenings is a suggested minimum donation of $2 per ticket. For no additional charge, all ticket holders will be entered into a raffle with a featured prize being handed out at each event, including Splash Passes which offer 10 admissions to the Athens City Pool donated by Athens Community Arts, Parks & Recreation, and a pair of admission passes to COSI in Columbus! Plus, Athens Public Libraries will be handing out free books at the screenings.

Friday, July 26, 9:30-11 a.m., Baker University Center 233

Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter & Evacuate (ALiCE). This training is designed to encourage and promote discussion about active shooter situations and will help participants learn how to be more prepared should an active shooter incident occur. Test your readiness, learn about options and gain confidence in your ability to react by attending one of these sessions.  Email wyatt@ohio.edu to register. Space is limited.
