91̽»¨ releases 2019 Annual Security & Fire Safety Report in accordance with federal Clery Act

In accordance with the federal Clery Act, 91̽»¨ has completed its 2019 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. The report is available on the 91̽»¨ Office of Equity and Civil Rights Compliance (ECRC) website.

Printed copies of the 2019 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report are also available at no charge; contact the Office of Equity and Civil Rights Compliance at 740-593-9140 or equity@ohio.edu, or stop by the ECRC office at Lindley Hall 006 on the Athens campus.

The 2019 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety including such topics as crime prevention, local law-enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security on campus. 

It also contains crime statistics on the Athens, regional and extension campuses for the calendar years 2016, 2017 and 2018. Crime statistics include reported crimes that occurred in off-campus buildings owned or controlled by 91̽»¨, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.

As a result of the review of crimes for 2018, an internal audit was conducted for the 2016 and 2017 crime statistics. Based on that audit, the crime statistics for 2016 and 2017 were updated.
