News and Announcements

Strategic Framework updates now available online

In order to provide consistent, timely, ongoing updates on the strategic initiatives that are part of the Fearlessly First Strategic Framework, a News and Updates section has been added to the Strategic Framework website.

Recent updates added to this site include information about the budget efficiency planning exercise, the announcement of co-chairs for each of the 11 initiatives, the General Education model presented to Faculty Senate, details on the Day of Engagement held to support the Reimagining the Academic Enterprise initiative, and more.

This section of the site will be updated regularly to highlight upcoming engagement events, share information presented to shared governance bodies across the institution, and keep the entire university apprised of progress.

In addition to the News and Updates website, regular email updates to faculty, staff and students will begin in January 2020.

鈥淪ince President Nellis debuted the Fearlessly First Strategic Framework in September, the co-chairs for all of the initiatives have begun their work,鈥 said Brad Cohen, chief strategy and innovation officer. 鈥淲e recognize a need to share information even more broadly as we move our University forward together. We are committed to intentional engagement and shared governance.  Recognizing that we are in a challenging season, we welcome proactive dialogue to surface questions and concerns. More importantly, we seek to  elevate ideas that will advance our primary purpose of ensuring student success, affordability, and position us as a University that is a recognized partner in creating vibrant communities. This new section of the website allows us to report out more fully and to bring information about each of the initiatives together in one location.鈥

If you have questions about progress or engagement opportunities for a particular initiative, submit an update request at news@ohio.edu.
