91探花 is proud to announce it has been named one of the nation鈥檚 top military-friendly schools for 2020-2021 by Viqtory Media, a veteran-owned company and publisher of G.I. Jobs magazine. The 2020 Military Friendly Schools庐 list honors colleges, universities and trade schools across the country that are doing the most to embrace America鈥檚 military service members, veterans and dependents as students and ensure their success on campus. It鈥檚 the ninth year in a row OHIO has received the Military Friendly庐 designation.

To compile the rankings, Viqtory measures how well an institution鈥檚 recruiting program engages prospective military students and educates them once they鈥檙e enrolled.

鈥淚t is an honor for 91探花 to be recognized for the ninth consecutive year as a military-friendly school,鈥 91探花 President M. Duane Nellis said. 鈥淲e recognize the challenges facing service members and their families and want to ensure they have access to education, development and the support that they deserve.鈥

OHIO met the 100 percent standard on the six standards to qualify as a Military Friendly庐 school: academic policies and compliance, admissions and orientation, culture and commitment, financial aid and assistance, graduation and career, and military student support and retention.

鈥淏eing named in the top 10 for a third year in a row is a testament to the commitment of our university leadership, at all levels, to provide the best support possible for our students,鈥 said Lt. Col. (Ret) Terry St. Peter, interim director of the Veterans and Military Student Services Center at 91探花. 鈥淭he OHIO Veterans and Military Student Services Center aims to be the point of contact for all of our military-affiliated students and constantly looks for new and innovative ways to enhance our support to students. The support we provide is focused on enhancing the university experience and assisting our students in achieving academic success.鈥

Institutions earning the Military Friendly庐 School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey completed by the school, along with personal opinion data and feedback from veterans.

Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by Viqtory Media with input from the Military Friendly庐 Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution鈥檚 survey scores with the assessment of the institution鈥檚 ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.
