Join Student Affairs and Student Senate on July 22 at 7 p.m. for a conversation about the plan for returning to Athens and the issues most important to the student body.

FALL PLANNING UPDATES
State mandates university employees wear facial coverings in fall
The state of Ohio mandates that all university employees must wear facial coverings while on campus, and we ask that you wear a mask that fully covers your nose, mouth and chin anytime you are in public.
Extended move-in schedule
The on-campus move-in schedule will be spread out over a longer span of time to ensure the health and safety of our community. Residents will receive an email with your scheduled date and time. New times can be requested through Housing Self Service.
Study away programs canceled
OHIO canceled all fall and winter break international and domestic study abroad/study away programs for 2020. Students directly affected by the cancellation of an OHIO program will receive a full refund of any expenses paid to date.
Bobcats urged to keep community safe
Jenny Hall-Jones released a statement urging Bobcats to take personal responsibility for actions and inactions that have major implications on the health and safety of the communities in which you live.
OHIO continually collects feedback to inform fall opening
Your input regarding plans for reopening in the fall are valued! Submitted points will be considered by leadership and others involved with reopening plans.
In-person campus events canceled through Aug. 1
91̽»¨ has extended the cancellation of all in-person University events across our campuses and locations until Aug. 1, 2020, with limited exceptions.

Campus Care Updates
The Urgent Care at OhioHealth Campus Care is now offering same-day appointments in place of traditional walk-in appointments. Please call ahead and schedule an appointment to limit the number of patients Campus Care has in the clinic at one time. All calls received by 4:30 p.m. will be seen that same day. Campus Care is also offering virtual visits.

Tantrum Theatre highlights black voices
The TV series Stories of COVID-19 has expanded to feature the voices and stories of African American community members living in Athens County. The broadcasts will air on WOUB each Thursday beginning July 9 at 7:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Submit original media for contest
A panel of MDIA faculty will review multimedia submissions across four categories: games and animation, narrative short film, non-fiction short film, and music/audio production. Work must be created during summer 2020 and submitted by July 31. Four student winners will receive $250.
Local partnership feeds local families
The Chillicothe Campus and Ross County community members provided food to nearly 1,500 families this summer through the USDA Farmers to Families project. The effort is part of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
