Marching 110 to perform on College Green Wednesday evening
The Marching 110 will perform on the College Green on Sept. 29 at 6:30 p.m. as part of the new Concerts on the Green series.
The concert is part of a collaborative effort of the College of Fine Arts, School of Music and Performing Arts Series to promote live music on campus.
“As we continue to return to some type of normalcy here on campus, promoting attendance for live music in the School of Music and other performing areas on campus is very important,” Assistant Director for the Marching 110 Joshua Boyer said.
Boyer said the band will perform selections from its season up until now, including traditional pre- and post-game music as well as music selections from its first two shows this season.
Concerts on the Green has consisted of outdoor concerts planned in the same spirit as the Under the Elms Series that occurs every summer.
“It is a wonderful opportunity for our students and community to engage with live performance and celebrate the arts of 91̽,” Senior Associate Director for Student Activities Andrew Holzaepfel said.
Attendees should bring a chair or blanket to the concert. The show will last about 45 minutes.
