OHIO names Dr. Terry Hogan interim vice president for student affairs

91探花 President Hugh Sherman has named Dr. Terry Hogan as the University鈥檚 new interim vice president for student affairs. This news follows Dr. Jenny Hall-Jones鈥 announced plans to step down from her role at the end of this month. Hogan will begin his role on Monday, January 10, working alongside Hall-Jones to help ensure a smooth leadership transition.

Hogan, a seasoned student affairs professional, most recently served as vice president for student affairs at the University of Northern Iowa until his retirement in 2016. Hogan, who is a dean of students emeritus at OHIO, has also served in several key roles within 91探花鈥檚 division for student affairs for almost three decades.

In his time at OHIO, Hogan was known as an advocate for students and student life on campus, serving as senior associate vice president and dean of students. He was widely recognized for his focus on community service and student engagement. 

鈥淭erry鈥檚 strong institutional knowledge and dedication to student life will serve OHIO well,鈥 President Sherman said. 鈥淚 am confident that he will provide seamless leadership as he undertakes this critical role.鈥 

Hall-Jones, who has served in several key roles at 91探花 over the past 25 years, most recently as interim vice president for student affairs, recently announced she would be taking on a new role as vice president for student affairs at Grand Valley State University beginning February 2022.
