OHIO experts discuss The Ridges Development Strategy during March 30 Ask the Experts
91探花 administrative experts Shawna Wolfe, associate vice president for University Planning, and Dominick Brook, director of real estate for 91探花, discussed The Ridges Development Strategy and provided insight into the rehabilitation of the historic property during an Ask the Experts livestream on March 30 at 3 p.m.
During the discussion, which was filmed at The Ridges, Wolfe and Brook shared a detailed look at The Ridges Development Plan and the University鈥檚 strategy to preserve the historic buildings that make up The Ridges, including the nature and grounds that surround it. Wolfe provided background on the historical significance of the property and how both the Ridges Framework Plan and the Ridges Development Strategy were created to preserve and move forward The Ridges for generations to come.
Brook also spoke to the benefits and impact rehabilitating The Ridges will have on the Athens community and surrounding region, noting that the Development Strategy includes making part of The Ridges senior, or age-friendly, housing, which the community has identified as a growing need for the community.
Samantha Pelham, OHIO media relations specialist, moderated the discussion, and asked questions from viewers to the experts.
Previously, Wolfe and Brook have also hosted three town hall meetings with the OHIO and Athens community to talk about The Ridges Development Strategy and open a forum for discussions and feedback around the topic.
