Sports and trading card show coming to 91̽ Southern

Collectors, gamers and sports enthusiasts will gather at 91̽ Southern on Saturday, Dec. 21, for the inaugural Great Southern Ohio Sports & Trading Card Show.

The event, hosted by TD’s Cards, Collectibles & More, will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and feature more than 50 tables of sports cards, memorabilia, and gaming items, including Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering. Toys and other collectibles will also be available, with dealers traveling from Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia to participate.

Organizer Stephen Delmoe, who has hosted similar shows in the region, is excited to bring this gathering of hobby enthusiasts to the 91̽ Southern campus.

“It’s about finding the love of the hobby,” Delmoe said. “Whether you’re a longtime collector or just starting out, this event gives people the opportunity to find something special, connect with others, and share their passion.”

The event offers a chance to find the perfect holiday gift for collectors and enthusiasts. Delmoe recalled a memorable moment from a past show when a young attendee purchased a pack of cards and discovered a rare Victor Wembanyama card valued at $300. A vendor helped the boy have the card graded, and it came back with a perfect 10 rating, boosting its value to $2,000.

“It’s moments like that that make these events so exciting,” Delmoe said.

The show will also highlight the camaraderie within the collector community.

“It’s not just about the items—it’s about the people,” Delmoe said. “There’s a brotherhood and sisterhood among collectors, a shared love for the hobby that brings everyone together.”

Attendees may even find some unique local touches, with a few dealers based in Ashland and Portsmouth participating. Delmoe is still finalizing details, including plans to bring a food truck to the event.

The Great Southern Ohio Sports & Trading Card Show is free to attend and open to the public. For more information, visit TD’s Cards, Collectibles & More on Facebook.
