Our Commitments

More recently, on his first day in office, 91探花 Former President Nellis signed the . As a result of these commitments, the institution developed and has largely met the first set of extensive goals and benchmarks in a 2011 Sustainability Plan and a 2012 Climate Action Plan.
91探花 Sustainability & Climate Action Plan - The 2021 version of the Sustainability & Climate Action Plan was approved by the 91探花 Board of Trustees on June 18, 2021. The Plan outlines 32 sustainability-focused priorities of the institution in 16 areas (3 core components, 12 themes, and 1 administrative section). Sections of the plan are also posted in their respective theme pages under the "Hubs & Initiatives" top navigation tab.
The Office of Sustainability is grateful to the hundreds of people who provided comments and feedback to versions of this plan over the past several years.
Faculty, staff, students and community members throughout 91探花 campuses & local communities are working together to realize important goals from this plan, such as carbon neutrality, increased local food production and procurement, improvements in energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainability-related education and research. We look forward to advancing these and additional goals with your participation!
