One-Year MBA Experiences

At 91探花's College of Business, academics are just one part of your educational journey.

We believe that experiential learning is a key component of your success. We provide our students with opportunities that are proven career accelerators. When you come to Athens, Ohio, you will experience personal and professional development inside and outside the classroom. You will be surrounded by diverse, talented, and motivated peers from all over the country and gain the experience that prepares you to lead organizations and guide teams to their fullest capacity.

International Immersion

The international immersion capstone provides MBA students with global business experience in a two-week study abroad course.

  • Travel is required! Students will travel to an international destination for approximately 10 days. Most trip expenses are included.
  • Each cohort will work with a company on a real project in real-time - culminating in a final presentation; essentially, it's a business trip.
  • Cultural activities are built into the trip so that students can develop cross-cultural thinking skills and allow them to expand their global mindset.
  • The project's destination, company, industry, and scope change yearly - allowing for a diverse range of experiences.

Co-Curricular Activities

The College of Business offers many opportunities for growth inside and outside the classroom.

  • Students are paired with an alumni mentor during their time in the program.
  • We offer a dedicated career coach to students to support their unique needs and career goals.
  • Students have the ability to create what they want: we welcome ideas and suggestions from current students, whether that鈥檚 to create an opportunity to attend a conference, build a new affinity group, invite a speaker, or put on a social event.

Graduate Assistantships

Graduate Assistants work closely with their supervisors on meaningful work and projects that benefit the college鈥攖hey are REAL jobs.

  • Graduate Assistantships offer two key things to students: partial funding and relevant work experience.
  • In this program, we guarantee all admitted students a GA position, typically within the College of Business.
  • GAs require students to work for 10 hours per week in fall and spring semesters (summers are excluded; so are finals week and winter/spring breaks).
  • Positions are available in all sorts of roles: event management, Program Director support, recruiting, advising, career management, cohort communication, digital marketing, sales, leadership, alumni outreach, and more.

The MBA program here at Ohio is a rigorous academic program made possible through professional development, great colleagues, and positive professors. The culture created by Professor Foehl, and all those who have come into the program before us, have cultivated an environment that allows these characteristics to flourish. One of my favorite parts of the program is that my classmates come from all types of academic background, which makes collaboration so much fun!鈥
