Human Resources Unit — There are two staff members in the college to assist departments with all their human resources-related tasks and hiring needs for faculty, staff and students. The college is also assigned an HR Liaison, Shellie McVey, to serve as a business partner with the administration and the HR Staff to provide additional support.

What We Do

• Recruitment and hiring of faculty and staff, including research staff such as postdocs
• Pool postings for emergency hiring needs
• Initial onboarding for staff
• Student hiring and onboarding
• Work study related questions
• Family Medical Leave (FMLA) and other leaves of absence for faculty and staff
• Retirements, resignations, and other separations
• Visiting scholar support
• Assistance with position descriptions
• Performance management assistance
• Employee contact lists and other employee data
