The Child Development Center at 91探花 opened in September 1972. It is the early childhood laboratory within the Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education. As one of the only centers in the area that serves children ages six weeks to five years, we serve as a model for best practices in Southeastern Ohio.     The Center is licensed by the . The license and inspection reports are posted in the main hallway. The law and rules governing child care are available in Room 104 for review upon request. The Center鈥檚 licensing record including compliance report forms and evaluation forms from the health, building, and fire departments are available upon request from the Ohio Department of Jobs & Family Services. Currently, the Center鈥檚 licensed capacity is 99 children.

    The Center has recently achieved re-accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The administration, teaching staff, and families of 91探花 Child Development Center are all being congratulated for earning the mark of quality represented by the NAEYC Accreditation system.

    Our NAEYC Accreditation is valid until April 1, 2026.
