Morton Professorship

Greg Foley

The Robert L. Morton Professorship of Mathematics Education is an endowed chair established by Dr. Morton, an 91探花 alumnus who returned after doctoral studies elsewhere to have a long and illustrious career at the university. Gregory D. Foley serves as 91探花's third Morton Chair, following Leonard Pikaart (1974-1992) and James Schultz (1994-2005). Like his two predecessors and Dr. Morton himself, Professor Foley has deep interests in both mathematics and mathematics education, has authored textbooks, has traveled widely, and has presented his ideas throughout the United States and internationally.
