Notice Regarding Wellness Program

Healthy OHIO

Healthy OHIO is 91探花's employee well-being initiative managed by WellWorks.

The initiative is intended to give employees and their spouses/partners customizable tools and resources for a variety of well-being goals. While some programs are exclusive to individuals on the University's medical plan ("benefits-participating"), other programs are available to those eligible for benefits ("benefits-eligible") and still others are available to everyone.

Healthy OHIO hosts a variety of educational and programmatic opportunities including:

For Benefits-Participating Employees/Spouses/Partners:

  • Virgin Pulse/Personify

The University's mobile well-being platform for employees and their spouses/partners is Virgin Pulse (soon to be called Personify). Available as both a web-based platform and an app, Virgin Pulse/Personify takes a holistic approach to well-being by exploring diverse topics and programming modalities, making it customized to each user.

Everyone's experience on Virgin Pulse/Personify will be different as it is uniquely tailored to your interests, health data, survey responses and more.

  • Biometric Health Screenings

All eligible participants are encouraged to conduct an annual health screening so they stay on track with their well-being goals. Eligible Participants will receive $60 added to the paycheck of the benefits-carrier. Enrollment on Virgin Pulse/Personify is required to receive the $60 incentive.

Three screening options are available to fit a variety of unique scheduling needs: WorkHealth Athens appointments, Physician Screening Forms and on-campus events.

For Benefits-Eligible
Employees/Spouses/Partners:

  • 100 Day Challenge

Eligible WellWorks members who check-in (virtually or in-person) 100 Days in a rolling calendar year can earn an annual WellWorks membership for free*.  Available to benefits-eligible employees and their spouses/partners.    *Taxed as income

  • Sleep and Rest

According to the CDC, approximately 1/3 of American adults are not getting adequate sleep. During this 6-module program, participants will be given guidance about sleep hygiene and the resources available to them to help improve their sleep. Self advocacy is a key component of this well-being program.

  • Risk Reduction

Commit to be more fit. The Risk Reduction program will help you with the what, when, where, and how of exercise, and you鈥檒l help yourself with the why. New cohorts of this 12-week well-being program form each fall and spring semesters.

  • Mindful Eating

When you eat mindfully, you use all of your physical and emotional senses to experience and enjoy the food choices that you are making. This 6-module cohort-based program supports participants as they explore this concept and begin to incorporate it into their lives. New cohorts form each January, with registration opening in late fall.

  • Practical Nutrition

We find that many people know what they are 鈥渟upposed to do鈥 when it comes to nutrition, but not how to do it in a way that fits their lifestyle. Practical Nutrition will provide you with the 鈥渉ow鈥 that you have been looking for. You will learn new skills and get fresh ideas to improve your nutrition intake.
