Student Life
All academic disciplines in the Honors Tutorial College are very demanding, but in our experience, HTC students become some of the most involved leaders on 91探花's campus and in the Athens community. In the past, students from the college have gotten involved in nearly every kind of group or activity on campus, including student government, international activism, student publications, and intramural or club sports.
From the minute they arrive on campus, Honors and Scholars students want to get involved. Hundreds of student organizations, employment options, and global opportunities help them feel right at home at 91探花.
Honors and Scholars Residence Halls
Students in the Honors Tutorial College have the option of living in designated honors and scholars housing. Residents are surrounded by peers from HTC and other honors and scholars programs and can select a roommate who is also eligible to live in the hall. Residence Hall staff work closely with the college to provide in-hall services and programming of interest to HTC students.

Community
From hosting Chilly the therapy dog during finals week to watching Dean Skinner flip burgers in his finest apron to grabbing a yoga mat in the backyard of 35 Park Place, HTC students have a variety of ways to meet each other, connect with the college staff, and de-stress. With approximately 300 students, the college is dedicated to creating a community of scholars and friends.
Student Council
Additionally, the college is home to the HTC Student Council, a student-led group designed to facilitate HTC-oriented events and projects. The organization supports philanthropy, alumni relations, recruitment, and student engagement.

Global Opportunities
91探花 offers more than 80 study abroad opportunities around the world, all of which allow you to earn OHIO class credits toward graduation. Spain, Japan, Ecuador, Ghana鈥攖hese are just a few of the places you might go. The Office of Global Opportunities also offers scholarships to help fund your travels.
The Office of Nationally Competitive Awards also helps students apply for scholarships like the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship.
The college highly encourages its students from all academic disciplines to spend time studying or researching in another country for a semester, a year, a summer, or even during winter break. By coordinating the program with their Director of Studies, most students are able to study abroad at least once without lengthening the time it takes to receive their degree.
Students who study abroad are encouraged to apply for a Dean's Travel & Research Grant. Alumni and friends of the Honors Tutorial College donate funds to facilitate student research and unique educational opportunities, including education abroad and internships.
