New Distributed Journal Entries and Updated Search Committee Courses Available

Professional Development Pathways (PDP) provides tools, guidance, and learning opportunities for employees and supervisors who want to invest in talent development and career growth. The following courses are new professional development opportunities available within the PDP Purchasing certificate:

OHIO Search Committee Training: Preparing for the Search (UPDATE)

This course is geared towards search committee chairs and department heads. The training focuses on establishing inclusive search committees, writing inclusive job descriptions, and creating inclusive recruitment plans as well as understanding the impact of bias in these early stages of the search process.  This is an eLearning version of a course that was previously offered in an instructor-led format.  Past participants who have taken the original instructor-led version of this course will receive retroactive credit for the purposes of badging.

Estimated course length is approximately 1 hour.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand and discuss the impact of implicit bias in early stages of a search
  • Establish and lead inclusive search committees
  • Write inclusive and robust job descriptions and recruitment plans

Distributed Journal Entries II: Processors

This course demonstrates the Distributed Journal Entries process that allows campus users to prepare and upload journal entries to Oracle Ebiz.  By the end of this course, you will be able to successfully upload a journal entry to Oracle Ebiz and monitor the import and posting process.

Estimated course length is approximately 1 hour.  Distributed Journal Entries I is a prerequisite.
