Service Learning for Students

Volunteer in your community

The Translating Osteopathic Understanding to Community Health program is a national program which encourages. The COSGP mission is to encourage medical students to continue one of the basic tenets of the osteopathic philosophy: a commitment to improving the health of our communities through service.

TOUCH encourages osteopathic medical students to work toward improving the health of their local community through service. In general, activities which improve the health and wellness of a community incorporating osteopathic tenets, awareness, principles and practice are eligible for TOUCH hours. Volunteer activities that do not qualify as TOUCH hours may still be logged as volunteer hours by students. For more details on what qualifies for TOUCH, please review . The Heritage College Student Government Association Directors of Community Outreach on each campus can answer any additional questions.

Heritage College students should enroll in the Track it Forward system to track their service hours in the TOUCH program. Instructions on how to set up a student account for the first time and how to log hours can be found here.

If you have any questions regarding the TOUCH program, please contact the SGA Director of Community Outreach on your campus.
