Bruce T. Vanderhoff

Bruce T. Vanderhoff, M.D., M.B.A.

Bruce Vanderhoff, M.D., M.B.A., has been with OhioHealth since 1996, and has served as senior vice president and chief medical officer since December 2008.

A nationally recognized physician leader, Dr. Vanderhoff is responsible for system-wide programs at OhioHealth addressing quality, medical affairs, medical education, research and virtual health care, as well as providing executive leadership for initiatives targeting improving population health and health care value.

Dr. Vanderhoff earned his bachelor's degree and medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and a master's degree in business administration from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his residency in family medicine at York Hospital in York, Penn., where he was chief resident.

Prior to joining OhioHealth, Dr. Vanderhoff worked in private practice near Akron, Ohio.

A diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine and a fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Vanderhoff鈥檚 many professional affiliations include the Healthcare Institute, the Health Management Academy, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Ohio State Medical Association and the Columbus Medical Association.

Dr. Vanderhoff is a clinical professor of family medicine at 91探花 and an adjunct associate professor of family medicine at The Ohio State University. He is on the boards of Rev1 Ventures (formerly TechColumbus) and Ohio Better Birth Outcomes, and a member of the Ohio Hospital Association鈥檚 Clinical Advisory Committee and Franklin University鈥檚 Healthcare Management Advisory Board. Dr. Vanderhoff served as a delegate to the Ohio State Medical Association and as a member of the Governor鈥檚 Advisory Council on Health Care Payment Innovation. He has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters over the span of his career and is a distinguished teacher and lecturer.
