It is the mission of AMOPS to be a forum for osteopathic education, mentorship, and advocacy to the United States Uniformed Services and to those who care for the men and women who serve and have served our country.

HCOM SAMOPS is an interest group which aims to expand medical students’ appreciation and knowledge of how osteopathic medicine is practiced within the military. Therefore, the group shall serve as a platform for networking opportunities, mentorship, and distribution of reliable information amongst members. Specific emphasis will be placed on cultivating opportunities for members to participate in community service; expand their appreciation of military culture; and develop the values, skills and aptitudes essential for a successful career in military medicine.
