Our Mission

The Student Association of the ACOFP is a community of current and future family physicians that champions osteopathic principles and supports its members by providing resources such as education, networking and advocacy while putting patients first.

Services Provided

SAACOFP provides the college with a community of future and current family physicians, creating opportunities for students to learn about family medicine residency, opportunities in family medicine and opportunities to network with practicing family medicine physicians.

Tentative Schedule for 2024-2025

1. Annual Gala (collaboration with SAAO): This annual, formal event will include prize raffles and an auction of a variety of items to fundraise, as well as entertainment and dinner. 
2. Clinical skills events: A joint injection clinical skills lab or an auscultation clinical skills lab with the Internal Medicine Student Organization will help members improve skills needed daily in primary care. 3. Opportunities in Family Medicine: A panel of well-versed family physicians speak on the many ways in which family medicine can be molded to specific areas of interest.
