Heritage Hall achieves WELL Certification
We received word today that by the International WELL Building Institute, making it one of the nation's first WELL medical education facilities!
WELL is a research-backed system for measuring, certifying and monitoring features of building environments that impact human health, such as air and water quality, nourishment and support for physical and mental fitness. By designing to WELL Building Standards, the Heritage College has imbued our wellness philosophy into our learning, teaching and working environment. It gives me great pride to know that we are "walking the walk" of wellbeing through a facility that fosters the very type of healthy lifestyle that osteopathic medicine promotes.
Highlights of our WELL building features are included in the student-led building tour below.
The WELL Certification of Heritage Hall is a long time in the making. Our college's commitment to wellbeing shaped the initial vision for the facility and was integral to its construction. Today, this commitment is expressed through the building's openness, infusion of light and its focus on wellness, which fosters collaboration, connectivity and physical activity for all occupants.
I would like to personally thank all who contributed to our design and construction efforts. Because of your dedication, Heritage Hall is a wonderful testament to the values of the osteopathic medical profession!
