OIT survey tool usage results available for review

As previously announced, the OIT Surveys Service initiated the Survey Technologies Evaluation Project in early spring in order to better align the portfolio with the changing survey needs at 91探花.

The first phase of this project was to complete a current state assessment via one-on-one interviews and a Survey Tool Usage Survey. This phase was completed in May and a summary of the results are available. . OIT would like to thank those who participated in the interviews and usage survey.

The second phase of this project, which began in June, is to conduct a Request for Proposal (RFP) process. The goal of this process is to have a portfolio of technologies that support long-term teaching and learning, research, and information gathering goals of the University. The feedback from the interviews and results of the usage survey were used to develop detailed requirements for the Survey Technologies RFP.

To ensure these requirements match campus needs, a representative RFP Selection Committee was also established. The RFP was published on July 13 and will be open for vendor responses until mid-August. The selection committee will review the responses, participate in vendor demonstrations and select the finalist(s) based on predefined evaluation criteria. Vendor selection and negotiations will begin in October and the selected vendor(s) are expected to be announced in early 2022.

If you would like to learn more about this process, or would like to provide additional feedback, consider joining the Surveys Advisory Community. This group is comprised of faculty, staff and students and meets about once a month to discuss topics and trends related to surveys and to help influence the future of surveys at OHIO.
