LGBT Center and OutOHIO announce Welcome Week events
The LGBT Center and OutOHIO (OHIO’s LGBTQ+ Affinity Organization) invite faculty and staff who are members or allies of the LGBTQ+ community to a series of events geared toward building community, networking, and fun.
The Welcome Week events include:
- Virtual LGBTQ+ Community Welcome: Friday, August 19, 2022, from 4-5 p.m. Virtually meet the staff of the LGBT Center and connect with others in the LGBTQ+ community! .
- Welcome Week Drag Show: Friday, August 26, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Baker Center Ballroom. Featuring headliner Silky Nutmeg Ganache as well as local drag performers Kazma Knights, Jack, and Cloe Angel. .
- LGBT Center Open House: Friday, August 26, from 8:30-10 p.m. in Baker University Center Room 348. Masks requested. .
- Walk and Roll Social Event: Saturday, August 27 from 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the West State Street Park and Larry’s Dawg House. Participants will meet at the West State Street Park to walk and/or roll a loop on the bike path and then gather at Larry’s Dawg House in a reserved space afterwards. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Those not interested in the walk and roll portion of the event should plan to meet at Larry’s at 12:30 p.m. .
