Call for OHIO faculty: Cutler Scholars Program Director of Academics
The Honors Tutorial College is seeking a Director of Academics for the Cutler Scholars Program. This part-time opportunity is open to faculty at the associate rank or higher and includes a mix of stipend and course release.
The Cutler Scholars Program (CSP) is 91探花鈥檚 premier merit scholarship program for students who are driven to explore how they can use their skills and interests to make a positive impact in their communities. Cutler Scholars receive not only a 4-year merit scholarship but also additional funds each year to support travel, research, community engagement, and internships. CSP offers individualized enrichment experiences, mentoring, intellectual community, and personal and professional development experiences to enhance their leadership skills. Students reside, study, and play together, forming a vibrant community of learners with a wide variety of interests and a shared commitment to doing good in the world. Responsibilities will include:
- Work in concert with the CSP Director of Operations and Student Engagement to administer the program. This includes the academic direction, theme, assessment, and recruitment of faculty members to teach Cutler colloquia each semester, as well as teaching a colloquium; collaborating on the design and administration of student engagement opportunities; recruiting, interviewing, and selecting scholars.
- Work in concert with the HTC Dean to foster positive relationships with CSP benefactors and Advisory Board members and to prepare the annual report to the 91探花 Foundation that confirms CSP is operating at a high level of performance in accordance with the Foundation鈥檚 restructured governance and administrative guidelines. Collaborate with program leadership on the design of the annual meeting of the Board. This responsibility may include representing CSP to other external audiences including alumni and nominating high schools.
- While the majority of the responsibilities for this role align with the academic year, there will be some minor responsibilities in the summer including collaborating with Director of Operations on planning the student retreat.
