91探花 Requirements

To be admitted unconditionally to the McClure School鈥檚 online Master of Information and Telecommunication Systems program, you must

  • Have a bachelor鈥檚 degree from an accredited college or university
  • Relevant undergraduate coursework to constitute at least a minor in Information and Telecommunication Systems, computer science, management information systems, engineering, economics, public administration, political science, or related areas
  • Have taken at least one statistics course as an undergraduate
  • Have an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0
  • Score adequately on the GRE General Section; GMAT scores can be considered if taken prior to application. The GRE can be waived for applicants with sufficient IT work experience.

You may be able to substitute professional experience for relevant undergraduate courses. To do so, you must have at least three years of professional experience performing tasks or duties covered by the MITS curriculum. You must demonstrate this experience by submitting your resume, which will be reviewed by the Graduate 91探花 Committee to determine relevance and adequacy.

Conditional 91探花

If you have substantial professional experience but do not have a 3.0 undergraduate GPA, you may be admitted to the online MITS program conditionally, at the discretion of the Graduate 91探花 Committee. In compelling cases, it is possible to receive conditional admission to the MITS program if you

  • Lack the requisite coursework or professional experience
  • Have an undergraduate GPA lower than 3.0
  • Have not taken the GRE or GMAT, and a waiver has not been approved

In such cases, the Graduate 91探花 Committee must conclude that there is other compelling evidence to conclude the applicant is capable of successful graduate work in the program. For instance, if your undergraduate GPA is under 3.0, the committee may require adequate GRE scores. Upon completion of 10 graduate credits with a cumulative GPA of 3.0, conditionally admitted students attain full admission status, which is a requirement for graduation.

Before considering admission to the online MITS program, make sure you can meet the following technological requirements, located in your home, office, or any other spot you choose:

  • Computer with browser
  • Web camera
  • Headset
  • High鈥恠peed Internet connection

Also, consider time zones, as individual classes meet once a week, 6-9 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST).
