Student Organizations and Publications

Many of our students get involved with extracurricular activities early on in their academic careers and participate in organizations that help them network, meet other students in their major and build leadership skills. Below are some of the key organizations and opportunities that are key to majors in the School of Visual Communication.

This is the 91探花 chapter. This organization advocates for visual journalists in print, broadcast and digital.  @nppaou

The is comprised of all students who are interested in exploring design across a variety of platforms. At least once a semester, student members take a trip to larger-market cities and tour companies that are successful within the visual communication industry. + : @ohioums

SPI

The brings together students who are interested in commercial photography. SPI students go on field trips to studios and network at seminars.

The Post

is a student-run editorially independent newspaper. The Post, started in 1912 is the oldest existing publication at 91探花. It publishes campus and community content online daily and weekly in print.
