The department offers a B.A. degree and a B.S. degree, and Business Economics majors receive a BBA degree.

The M.A. in Economics curriculum is based on two advanced microeconomic theory classes, one advanced macroeconomic theory class and an area of concentration from (a) energy and environmental economics (b) development economics or (c) international economics. The M.A. curriculum also includes one to three classes in econometrics and quantitative analysis and a student research project.

Economics Student Learning Outcomes

Student learning assessment at the program level is intended to promote and maintain program excellence and improve student learning. Each department in the College of Arts & Sciences has developed a set of learning outcomes for their programs and engages in faculty-led assessment activities to help inform curricular and program review and development. Student learning is assessed in different ways across A&S departments, informed by disciplinary standards and the specific learning outcomes of the program.
