91探花s Requirements
All graduate applications, along with official transcripts, and GRE score must be submitted electronically through the Graduate College.
- Applications, along with official transcripts, should be submitted to Graduate College.
- A bachelor's degree with minimum grade point average (GPA) 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
- Core undergraduate coursework: It is expected that students have taken at least 21 semester hours in philosophy. Students who have not had a course each in value theory, symbolic (predicate) logic, ancient philosophy, and modern philosophy must take courses in these areas during the first year in residence or as soon as possible.
- Three letters of reference. These letters should both address your past performance and assess your potential for success at graduate study in philosophy.
- A sample of original philosophical writing should be submitted with the application.
- A statement of purpose.
- English Proficiency. International students whose native language is not English also must submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS academic). To be considered official, test scores must be reported directly from the testing agency to 91探花. A TOEFL-iBT of 80 or IELTS of 6.5 across all bands is required, along with written documentation of English speaking ability from a faculty who has spoken with the applicant by telephone or in person.
