The College of Health Sciences and Professions is where innovative education and research happens daily. A growing portfolio of degree and certificate programs is housed in our ten academic units: the Department of Athletic Training; the Department of Food and Nutrition Sciences; the Department of Exercise Physiology; the School of Nursing; the Department of Physical Therapy, the Department of Physician Assistant; the Department of Hearing, Speech and Language Sciences; the Department of Social and Public Health; the Department of Social Work; and the Department of Interdisciplinary Health Studies. All ten bring together faculty and students across multiple disciplines to explore the best approaches to addressing health and wellness in various settings. Each year, over 1,600 students graduate from our programs prepared as passionate professionals ready to make a difference in the lives of the people they serve. While the10 academic units form its core, the College over the years has launched outreach initiatives that serve the surrounding community while providing valuable practical experience for students. These include , a nutrition and fitness center for OHIO employees and community members; ; the Atrium Cafe, a popular eatery located on the first floor of Grover Center and a laboratory for food and nutrition students; and the Kids on Campus after-school and summer programs.
In 2015, the College opened a new facility at the in central Ohio. This facility houses new programs in physician assistant studies, health leadership, clinical informatics, and integrated health studies, among others.
