A major in Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences (HSLS) at 91探花 ensures a well-rounded undergraduate education. Students develop skills and knowledge in scientific and humanistic areas, with a strong emphasis on communication abilities, scholarship, professionalism, service, and multicultural engagement.
The curriculum integrates a sequence of interdisciplinary coursework with courses designed to provide a sound understanding of normal human communication processes and an introduction to speech-language pathology and audiology.
To earn a BSHSLS, students must complete 27 semester hours of Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences coursework, as well as six to eight semester hours of specific courses in anthropology, biology, interpersonal communication, mathematics, physics, or psychology.
