Graduate Student Research

Graduate Social Work students are required to conduct research during their clinical year of study in SW6941 and SW6942. Students will learn to prepare research proposals, collect data, analyze results, and formally present research findings. Students have the opportunity to present their research at the 91探花 Research Expo that takes place in the spring semester as well as the College of Health Sciences and Professions Research Showcase. Typically, students work in collaboration with their field placement sites to conduct research of agency interest. Previous students have conducted research in areas such as community mental health, child welfare, crisis services, substance abuse, domestic violence, client satisfaction with services, and program evaluation.
