Programmatic Accreditation

In addition to institutional accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), individual academic programs at 91探花 may be accredited by specialized accrediting bodies or recognized by professional associations.  Academic programs seek specialized accreditation or recognition to ensure:

  • standards of the profession are being met
  • program quality
  • students are eligible for licensure and certification upon graduation

Many academic programs are in fields that do not have specialized accrediting bodies, and therefore, do not have the opportunity to seek specialized or programmatic accreditation. Programs with specialized accreditation or recognition with a professional association have been determined to meet the professional standards of their field through rigorous self-study and evaluation by the accrediting body or professional association. **The Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) education program in audiology (residential) at 91探花 has been placed on probation by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, MD 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700. A program on probation is not currently in full compliance with the accreditation standards. Programs on probation remain accredited but must demonstrate compliance with the standards within one year.
