Advancing Equitable Promotion and Tenure Guidelines
In collaboration with the OHIO Faculty Senate and the OHIO DEIAB Faculty Affairs Council, the Office of the Provost has launched a university-wide project focused on advancing equitable promotion and tenure guidelines. Department chairs, school directors, associate deans, and promotion & tenure committee chairs are invited to participate.
Through the Advancing Equitable Promotion and Tenure program, OHIO seeks to advance equity in promotion and tenure criteria and processes across the university system. The ultimate goal of the program is to commit to 鈥渆quity-minded鈥 principles and practices (American Council of Education, ACE) in OHIO promotion and/or tenure criteria and processes.

- (ACE)
- 91探花 Faculty Handbook (OHIO Faculty Senate)
- Recommendations for Equitable Promotion and Tenure (OHIO DEIAB Faculty Affairs Council)

- Strengths 鈥 guideline components that meet or exceed expectations.
- Deficiencies 鈥 guideline components that fail to meet expectations.
Areas for improvement 鈥 guideline components that need to be improved.
- REVISE existing promotion and tenure guidelines for equity based on identified deficiencies and areas for improvement using the promotion and tenure guideline revision process outlined in Section II.E.10.c of the 91探花 Faculty Handbook.
