Academics: Choose Your Major
OHIO has seven majors designed especially for students interested in preparing for law school and law-related careers:
- Business Pre-Law
- English-Pre-Law
- Geography Pre-Law
- History Pre-Law
- Political Science Pre-Law
- Philosophy Pre-Law
- Sociology Pre-Law
If you鈥檙e interested in environmental law, for example, you could major in Geography Pre-Law. The business and economics majors are popular with students interested in business law.
If the major you鈥檙e interested in is not on this list, don鈥檛 worry鈥擮HIO鈥檚 pre-law experiences are open to students in any major. For example, Sociology and Sociology-Criminology are common majors for those interested in societal issues or criminal justice. And many OHIO students double major or add minors or certificates in areas that interest them.
