Programs and Events

The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (CTLA) provides opportunities for instructors to engage in a variety of meaningful professional learning experiences. Our signature and partner programs and events support the development and refinement of evidence-based and innovative instructional strategies that promote OHIO's vision for teaching and learning excellence.

These programs and events recognize the interests of instructors across a career — including the development of an appreciation for scholarly teaching to project leadership through implementation, instructional mentoring and scholarship and discipline-based educational research. CTLA offerings are open to faculty, instructors and graduate student instructors (GSIs).

  • Ohio College Teaching Consortium


    The Ohio College Teaching Consortium (OCTC) promotes student success and equips instructors at Ohio's colleges and universities with evidence-based teaching strategies. OCTC recognizes the commitment of instructors who pursue instructional excellence.

  • Strategic Ohio Council for Higher Education


    The Strategic Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE) connects students, educators, government, businesses, employers and other organizations to share information, provide access professional development opportunities and close workforce gaps through increasing internships and research projects.

  • National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity


    The National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD) is an independent professional development, training and mentoring community of faculty, postdocs and graduate students from over 450 colleges and universities.
